The Cazador cocktail is a creation by George Steven Hunter (one of the founders of Cocktail Culture), developed for the prestigious Bacardi Legacy competition. Named “Cazador,” which is Hunter in Spanish, to symbolise triumph and perseverance, this cocktail represents George’s journey from humble beginnings to success. Starting his career as a bar-back on minimum wage, George dedicated himself to learning and growing in the industry. Despite not advancing past the first round in his initial Bacardi Legacy entry, his persistence paid off. Six years later, he not only re-entered the competition but also won the national event in South Africa. This victory earned him the honour of representing South Africa on the global stage, embodying the spirit of determination and resilience that Cazador stands for.
